Privacy Policy

AnalogQuant ("we," "us," or "our") operates analogquant.com and the AnalogQuant Chrome extension. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Chrome Extension

The AnalogQuant Chrome extension is a simple launcher. It has no permissions beyond opening a new tab to analogquant.com. The extension:

• Does not read or modify web pages you visit
• Does not collect, transmit, or store personal or browsing data
• Does not use cookies or local storage for tracking

When you click the extension icon, your browser opens analogquant.com with standard marketing parameters (for example, utm_source=chrome_extension) so we can measure install attribution. Those parameters are processed under the website practices described below — not by the extension itself.

2. Information We Collect

Account data

When you create an account or sign in, we may collect:

• Email address
• Password (stored as an Argon2id hash — we never store plaintext passwords)
• Google account identifier and email (if you use Sign in with Google)
• Account creation date and last login timestamp

Session cookies

Signed-in sessions use first-party cookies (aq_session, aq_csrf) scoped to analogquant.com. These are required for authentication and security (CSRF protection). They are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Anonymous analytics

We run first-party, privacy-oriented analytics to understand how visitors use the dashboard. We collect:

• A random visitor ID stored in your browser's local storage (aq_vid)
• Per-session ID, page path, tab/section names, button clicks, and dwell time
• Whether you are signed in (yes/no flag only — not your identity in analytics events)
• Coarse location from Cloudflare edge headers: country, region, and city (no IP address stored)

We do not store names, email addresses, or IP addresses in analytics events.

Ralph (AI assistant)

When you ask Ralph a question, we process:

• Your question text and optional conversation history (sent to our AI provider)
• A market data snapshot attached to your question (public BTC positioning data)
• Daily question count per account (for free-tier quota enforcement)

Questions are transmitted to Anthropic's API via our secure backend. We do not log full question text in long-term server logs.

Pro billing

If you subscribe to AnalogQuant Pro, payment is handled by Stripe. We store:

• Stripe customer and subscription IDs linked to your account
• Plan status, trial end date, and subscription update timestamps

We do not store full credit card numbers. Card data is collected and processed directly by Stripe under Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Waitlist and email

If you join the Ralph waitlist or request a login code, we use your email address to send transactional messages via Resend (verification codes, account notices).

3. How We Use Information

• Provide, operate, and secure the AnalogQuant dashboard and AI features
• Authenticate users and manage subscriptions
• Enforce usage quotas and prevent abuse
• Improve product design through aggregated, anonymous analytics
• Respond to support requests and send service-related email
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share data only as needed to operate the service:

• Cloudflare — CDN, DDoS protection, and edge hosting
• Fly.io — application hosting and database (Cloudflare D1)
• Google — OAuth sign-in (if you choose that method)
• Anthropic — AI inference for Ralph questions
• Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions
• Resend — transactional email delivery

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and only receive the minimum information required for their function.

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Analytics events are retained for product analysis and may be aggregated over time. You may request account deletion by contacting us; we will remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate security purposes.

6. Your Choices and Rights

• You may use much of the public dashboard without signing in
• You may clear local analytics identifiers by removing site data for analogquant.com in your browser
• You may manage or cancel a Pro subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal
• You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account data by emailing us

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law (access, portability, objection, restriction, and erasure). Contact us to exercise these rights.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS everywhere, hashed passwords (Argon2id), signed session cookies, CSRF protection, and access controls on backend systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work to protect your data and review our practices regularly.

8. Children

AnalogQuant is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will change when we do. Continued use of AnalogQuant after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
